Almost FRIDAY!

Hi again! Well, where do I start? Yesterday Maddie had a dental appointment and we found out that she has 3 cavities, needs one tooth pulled, and also needs to see an Orthodontist in Spencer. Her baby teeth have been terrible with cavities and the dentist thinks that her permanent teeth don't look much better. We really have to watch her pop and candy intake to try and keep them as healthy as we can. I guess that some people just have teeth that give them alot of problems. NOT FUN! After her dental appointment she had to go and get t-ball pictures taken at the ball diamond in Whittemore. I put her hair in a ponytail and of course she did not like that at all. It was really windy out and I did not want her hair blowing in her face for the pictures. When she was done with pictures I took her to mom's so that she could spend the night. They went to the movies to see Over the Hedge. Maddie said it was good. She hung out with Grandma all day. They went to a hair appointment, went out for lunch, and then did a little shopping at K-Mart and Fareway. I told her to call me when she was ready to come home, but at 4:30 pm I still had not heard anything from her. Imagine that? The rain subsided and the boys were able to go outside and I decided to let them each have a bomb pop. Let me tell you something...those things really turn kids colors. They were red, orange and green when they were done eating them. I washed their faces, but you could still see the color. Next time I will just let them eat in their diapers. After we cleaned up I loaded the boys in the suburban and we went to the Catholic cemetary to put flowers out for Grandpa and Grandma. Next we were headed to the Lutheran cemetary to check on the wreaths I had put out two days ago. It has been really windy here and I wanted to make sure they were okay. On our way through town we saw Maddie and Grandma playing catch at the ball diamond, so we pulled over to chat with them. Carter was so excited to see Maddie. He really missed her all day long. Maddie, of course, did not want to come home. I think she would move in with Grandpa and Grandma if I let her. Not much else happening here. I should go and get some studying done since all the kids are in bed. Love to all, Steph

P.S. If you watched the finale of American Idol last night I want to know if you found it funny when David Hasselhoff (from Knight Rider, one of my favorite shows as a kid) was crying because Taylor Hicks won???? Adam could not stop laughing. We have TIVO and he watched that part again and he paused it on David Hasselhoff and he laughed some more.
