Our new addition!

Well, I have been waiting since the weekend to share the news about our newest addition to the family and I have not had the time to sit down and get this done. We are the proud owners of a puppy. His name is Wrigley (yes, after Wrigley field) and he is a chocolate lab. Maddie and Carter have been bugging us for a puppy for quite some time now and when Grandma Jayne and Papa Doug were here at the beginning of October they heard all about it. Grandma promised the kids that if we found a puppy for them she would pay for it and it would be part of their Christmas gift to the kids. We got the phone call from a friend of Adam's on Sunday morning before we went to church. There were 2 puppies left to choose from. We went and looked at them and the rest is history. He came home with us and the kids just love him! It is nice to have a puppy that we can train right off the bat to behave with the kids and not to jump up on them. Since Adam is busy in the fields I am the lucky one who gets to discipline the puppy when he misbehaves. It really is just like having another toddler to take care of. We are getting him housebroken and that is going okay so far. He stays in the kitchen and entry way/bathroom until I know he is completely trained so he won't pee on my carpet. I want to post some pictures for you but I cannot until I buy a new battery for my digital camera. It won't even charge anymore so I need a new one I guess. Maybe I will get that tomorrow.
